Dynamics GP 2015The much anticipated introduction of Dynamics GP 2015 will test Microsoft’s innovative acumen at a critical juncture in a competitive marketplace. The bi-annual update will provide enterprises with new ways to essentially do more in less time. The quest to offload more tasks to the computer continues, and Dynamics GP 2015 will undoubtedly address this ongoing need.

Further advancements in both efficiency and productivity are anticipated in several areas:

User Authentication – Use the same credentials employed to log in to Dynamics CRM, Office 365, and other cloud-based apps to sign in to the Dynamics GP web client. Also, workflow approvals can now be assigned to an organizational account as opposed to a Windows account. Also, thanks to this feature, a password change applies “across the board.”

Employee Autonomy – Personal information can now be edited by users within Dynamics GP. This includes information regarding position history, phone number, address, emergency contacts and more. Also, users can self-maintain tests and education in the Employee Skills and Training window. Team managers can simply approve changes rather than doing it themselves.

Simplified HR Workflow – Managers can now review and approve a host of employee-initiated changes in one place. Changes to employee skills, employee profiles, payroll time cards, W4s, and payroll direct deposit can be more efficiently completed. Multiple tasks can be approved by checking boxes and approving a given action.

Batch Approvals – A Workflow 2.0 feature that was new in GP 2013 R2 is improved further. Four new workflow approvals will appear: general ledger batch approval, receivables batch approval, payables batch approval and vendor approval. In addition, more control is provided over vendor set-up and editing, and batch approvals are more streamlined.
